Requesting a Duty Swap

Once you have volunteered for a duty you become responsible for ensuring that duty is covered. However circumstances can change. If you need to swap the date of your duty follow the steps below.

Request a swap on the Duty Roster on the website

1. Log on to the members' area and select Duty Roster.
2. Select 'My Duties'.
3. Request Swap.
4. You will then be prompted to add who you would like to transfer this duty to.

At this point we would recommend selecting individuals who are rostered for the same type of duty as yourself. This information can be found by viewing the Duty Roster.

You can select up to 10 individuals who will then be sent an email notifying them that a swap with them has been requested. The emails are automated and will only detail the duty details.

5. Select 'Request Duty transfer'.

Friends and Family

Please also remember that you can also speak to family and friends who are members to see if any of them can cover your duty for you.

Weekly Roundup email

Each week members are sent a Weekly Roundup email. You can also advertise your need for a duty swap to be included as part of this. You need to submit the information by Wednesday at 09:00 hours to be able to be included in that week's email. Send a message to webmaster@emsworthsc.org.uk to request that your swap is advertised.

ESC Members' Facebook page

You can also submit a post to the Club's Facebook page click. You will need to give details of the duty you need help to cover. Your post will need to be authorised by an administrator before it will be 'live' on the Facebook page

As a last resort you can contact the Duty roster officers by email at duties@emsworthsc.org.uk.

However please remember that in all cases the more notice you are able to give, the more likely you will be successful in find a replacement volunteer.
