VIRTUAL HAPPY HOUR (VHH)

We hope you will join in with our second Virtual Happy Hour at 18.00 on the 1st May. With various ESC social groups taking the plunge at the start of April for the last VHH who would have thought we would have got a picture like this!

Zooms set up are

Alex Gawley is hosting a zoom as well as others like Jo Holliday and her ESC Friday group...

We would like to encourage any of you familiar with Zoom to set up your own VHH amongst your existing ESC/Happy Hour social groups using Zoom and let members join and jump between chat groups much like a normal Happy Hour. The more the merrier. We are hoping that members will dip into these Zoom chats to say hello and catch up.

If you have a spare Zoom login which isn't being used let me know as we have a few ideas for general chat groups.

If you would be happy to "host" a Zoom VHH chat, please can you send through a) your adopted topic area or just "ESC yourname chat" and b) a Zoom link to webmaster@emsworthsc.org.uk so that we can post a News update on the website on the Friday to notify members about the various chat groups. Of course email for help if you need it.

All anyone has to do in order to join one of these sessions is to click on a link we will provide in the News.

To be honest we aren't quite sure how this will turn out, but if you are happy to give it a go we will support you as best as our IT skills can.

ACTIONS FOR MEMBERS

1. Agree your VHH Zoom chat topic amongst your ESC social groups. The more the merrier but try to avoid duplication so have a chat about it amongst yourselves.

2. Send in ideas for the Zoom chat group by Friday morning.

3. During and afterwards consider sending some words/pictures to the Webmaster, so we can keep the discussion going!

It would be great keep this strong tradition of the First Friday Happy Hour going, and in particular to share some of our self-isolation stories!
